Stress Management

It is my sincere wish that this letter finds you in good health.  This information is in regards to stress management for both children and adults.

I give this letter out during my public speaking engagements, and I would like to share it with you.  Please feel free to share this letter with anyone you wish.

While I have several treatment protocols at my disposal, the treatment of choice for stress is the B.E.S.T. Technique.  This acronym stands for BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique.  It is unlike every traditional form of chiropractic technique.  The BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique is a technique which is widely used by health care practitioners all over the world who believe that stress is the primary cause for many illnesses and diseases that occur today.  It is truly state-of-the-art.  When the body is out of balance, symptoms develop and health deteriorates.  Many factors affect the body's state of balance.  Physical, mental, emotional and chemical/dietary issues of the past as well as the choices that we have made or currently make can oftentimes negatively affect the immune system.  There are six essential areas that we must all be concerned with:

  • what we eat
  • what we drink
  • how we exercise
  • how we rest (REM sleep)
  • what we breathe
  • what we think

When our bodily systems are out of balance they become exhausted.  This causes symptoms such as pain and disease to develop.

Pain has a purpose.  Pain is the body's alarm system, alerting you that there is something wrong.  Pain alerts the body to start the healing process.  In small children at least until the age of seven through nine years oftentimes do not understand stress.  They simply feel uneasy.  This could reflect in many different ways including changes in appetite, hyperactivity or hypoactivity, colds, ear infections, indigestion, headaches, just to name a few.

The fastest way for your body to stop experiencing these various symptoms would be to make sure that the body is functioning at its highest potential.  This would allow you to repair and rebuild your damaged painful condition.  The body does have the ability to efficiently repair and rebuild the damage from nutritional, physical, or mental stress.

Emotions and thoughts play a big role in our health.  If you stop to think about something or someone that really bothers you it is actually possible to increase your heart rate, tense up your shoulders, bring on a headache, make you forgetful, and perhaps even make you sick to your stomach.  In young children their school grades may suffer following some tragedy in the family or with a close friend.  Your thinking can change the way your body functions.  That can be either positive or negative depending or your thoughts.  What you think about is probably the most important factor in regard to your overall health.

Your body was designed to survive.  It is important to understand that everything the body does is for the sole purpose of survival right now.  It is not designed to be sick.  It is designed to survive the conditions of the moment, and it deals with these conditions by responding to the greatest threat to survival first.  I call this "top priority".  You feel terrible, but your body is doing the best it can under the circumstances that you provide for it.  If something is not done to update the current status of the threat, it may keep responding over and over until that particular system becomes exhausted.  Typically that is the endocrine and immune system that become exhausted, and the update status generally has to occur in the subconscious mind.  That's when you have symptoms by pain or disease.  The subconscious mind has no perception of what is real or imagined.  For the most part our feelings and emotions come from the subconscious mind.  These emotions are oftentimes anchored in the subconscious mind to a situation that occurred days, weeks, months or years ago.  That is why you can hear a song on the radio and it causes you to feel happy, and yet hear another song that may make you feel melancholy.  The subconscious mind believes that the situation is occurring at that very moment even though it may have been years ago.  The emotion is very similar to what you felt when that situation originally occurred.

The B.E.S.T. Technique updates physical and emotional memory.  By touching certain pressure points in the proper sequence and having a patient think about specific memory stress we have found that the body begins to re-communicate with the brain.  Of course, your brain controls all functions in your body.  When they work together, body balance, restoration of health and feeling good are welcome results.

When the procedure is finished, your body is balanced.  For adults I use very specific muscle testing.  For infants and small children there is no muscle testing required, rather a different set of diagnostic procedures are used.  Clinical experience has shown that by stimulating the specific pressure points as part of this procedure, the body can not only begin to feel better, but can actually begin to repair and rebuild.  The rebuilding and repairing are the necessary steps to regaining well, pain-free health.  By combining your improved choices in those six essential areas with this updated body balancing, a winning combination is certain to follow.

With this approach we believe that there are virtually no conditions that your body cannot overcome or show improvement in.  By balancing your body with this technique we are attempting to do everything we can to allow your body to heal, repair and rebuild and to regain health.

We must take it one step at a time.  Changes in the choices that we make in the six essential areas must happen gradually.  The nutritional changes can often be the most uncomfortable, and the thinking changes the most difficult.  I usually have the patient take their time and of course always recommend to ask questions and ask for help.  For nutritional stress I recommend natural whole food supplementation and give dietary recommendations.

The choices we make in the six essential areas determine whether we follow a lifestyle that results in permanent good health or one that can lead to distress, illness, depression and essentially an unbalanced system that leads to disease.

The BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique is a physical yet non-forceful balancing procedure used by the hands to reestablish the full healing potential of the body using its natural healing abilities.  This technique removes the interference and/or distractions that are demanding the attention of the healing power of the body thereby causing the imbalance in the autonomic nervous system and ultimately leading to disease.

I am very excited and continue to study this field and other modes of treatment for stress because it is of such epidemic proportions.
